How It Works 

APPLY

We are accepting applications for our first batch of Homeward Grants partners. The application gives us a window into your ministry. Applications can be for permanent grants (i.e. missionaries continuing in the field indefinitely) or temporary use (i.e. missionaries deployed for limited-time projects or programs). To be successful, you must:

  • Be an active missionary or minister - or have a concrete actionable plan to go to the field;

  • Have a well-defined target people or ministry objective; and

  • Agree to measurable performance indicators.

As a grant recipient, you will provide annual reporting on your progress towards the performance indicators and your use of grant funds. Grants recipients may be individuals or non-profit organizations.

GRANT AGREEMENT

If accepted, we will issue you a Grant Agreement. The Grant Agreement is our mutual understanding of the work which you are receiving donations towards and generally how such funds will be spent. A summary of the key terms of our Grant Agreement will be available to donors wishing to support your ministry.

If you make significant changes to your ministry, we would need to modify the Grant Agreement to reflect your new ministry goals and objectives.

When receiving grants from us, you are still an independent missionary or minister. We do not supervise your activities and only require reporting to the extent necessarily to confirm that you are in fact doing the work which you are receiving funds for. You are still accountable to the ministry which you operate under, and if preferred, we will distribute grants you receive to your ministry and follow their guidelines and procedures.

RECEIVE FUNDS

Once the Grant Agreement is executed, we will set up a dedicated internal fund to receive donations in support of your ministry. Grant funds may be spent on both ministry and personal expenses, subject to the limits set forth in your Grant Agreement.

Twice a month, all funds received into your fund may be disbursed to you as long as you remain faithfully committed to the ministry work described in your Grant Agreement (and satisfy the other terms of your Grant Agreement).

At least once a year, we will request a report on your ministry progress and achievements for that year and a financial accounting of how the granted funds were used.
