Amber was born and raised in California before moving to the East Coast for college. Although she had a relationship with God since childhood, she encountered Jesus in a profound and transformative way in college and recommitted her life to Him. Currently, she is living in the Bronx, NY where she is enrolled in a PhD program in Cell Biology specializing in the study of blood cancers. When she is not in the lab, she finds joy in exploring new coffee shops, reading, and listening to music.

Zion grew up in a Christian family in Pennsylvania and came to know Jesus at a young age. She moved to Boston for college and encountered God in a deep way while there. She currently lives in Connecticut working on her PhD in biochemistry and joined Alabaster in 2023. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature and journaling.

GUEST RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Ayi was born and raised on Long Island, New York, where he grew up in a Christian household. At a young age, he fell in love with the stories of the Bible and getting to know Jesus, but it was in college where his faith really grew its legs. He went to college in New York City and graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and he is currently living in Boston pursuing a graduate degree in the same discipline. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with the other members of Alabaster’s Boston church family.

GUEST RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Jenn has been serving with Alabaster since 2013. She was born and raised in New England. Her parents immigrated from China for graduate school in the 80s. She met Jesus while attending college at Cornell, and over the course of her junior year, decided to commit her life to following Him. Now, Jenn lives in New Jersey with her husband and their three kids, Grace, Joshua, and Nathan.

GUEST RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Joane was born and raised right outside of Chicago, where she lived up until she moved to New Jersey to attend college. Raised in a Christian household, she met Jesus in middle school when she was at Sunday School. Joane joined Alabaster in her last year of her PhD in 2019 and has been living in NYC as a member of the church since 2020. When Joane is not working her job as a Data Scientist at a media company, she enjoys dancing, running, playing board games, and talking about math.

GUEST RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Melissa grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and currently lives in NYC with her husband. As a child, she enjoyed learning music by ear and caring for her family and friends. In 2013, she joined Alabaster Group in pursuit of finding more of God, and soon after she started serving Him with joy for the first time in her life. After battling various health challenges in the last few years, Melissa continues to be humbled by His kindness and mercy. Her heart’s desire is for all to deeply taste and see that the Lord is good, and to be continuously transformed by His life and love season after season.
