Homeward Childcare
Our childcare program provides opportunities for children to foster meaningful relationships with one another, play under staff supervision, and engage in hands-on projects and spiritually-enriching activities. Our staff has prepared fun, age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and activities for your children.
What to Expect
Childcare is a service offered to families to allow parents to more meaningfully participate in the conference sessions. As such, childcare will be provided during services for children 12 and under.
Overview
Mornings & Afternoons: Morning and afternoon sessions will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Children should come to these sessions wearing swimsuits, with a cover-up (shirt/pants or dress), and sandals. If you wish for your child to wear sunscreen, please apply it before dropping them off.
Evenings: Evening sessions will be held indoors. These sessions will focus on educational activities, crafts, and games. Children should shower, change into indoor clothing, and eat dinner prior to evening activities.
Qualifications
In order to participate, your child must be able to:
Speak English Fluently: For everyone’s safety, we do not accept children who are not fluent in English. If your family does not speak English natively, your children will be tested during orientation.
Eat & Drink On Their Own: Because we will help your children get snacks during longer sessions, each child must be able to feed themselves. Children cannot be breastfeeding.
Walk On Their Own: Toddlers must be able to walk independently.
Separate Peacefully: Children just be able to separate willingly and peacefully from parents at drop-off.
Use the Bathroom: Children must be fully potty trained.
Typically, children will be 18-24 months old to reach these development milestones.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Children should be dropped off at the start of each session at their respective rooms.
Tots (Ages 4 and under): Cyan Room
Tykes (Ages 5-8): Marino Room
Tweens (Ages 9-12): Turquesa Room
Please note childcare is not provided for children 13 and up for all sessions. Teens are welcome in conference sessions or may play independently. Certain teen gatherings and activities will be scheduled.
Enrollment & Policies
Enrollment
To enroll your child in our childcare program, you must fill out the Childcare Intake Form. Please fill out one form per child.
Every enrolled child and parents should attend the Childcare Meet-n-Greet on Wednesday.
Policies
Childcare is an entirely optional service for the convenience of parents. However, parents who elect not to send their children to childcare are asked to ensure that their children are not disruptive during services. We maintain a Cry Room immediately next to the ballroom with the service livestreamed for parents to soothe children or watch over children who are sleeping.
